SMALL GOALS
There is this joy that comes with achieving even the smallest feat in life. It is usually inexplicable, as it inspires you to achieve more. For instance you have made a promise to yourself that this week I will abstain from taking soda(coca-cola). Maybe you're gradually becoming addicted to it. Having stayed through the week without taking soda, there is this joy that comes with that achievement. That is the joy of achieving small goals.
It is important to set small realistic goals, which maybe; daily, weekly and even monthly. Ask yourself what do I need to achieve this new week? You may decide to read that book that has been lying on your shelve for ages, this week. You can also decide to walk more this week instead of constantly jumping a bike(okada) for some trekkable distances. There is always something to gain when you achieve your set goals. Do not let your week to end without achieving something that will add value to your person.
Importance of achieving small goals
1. You become more confident in yourself, having achieved something you never thought you could achieve would boost your self-confidence.
2. It inspires you to achieve more. If I can abstain from taking soda for a week, I think I Can stop taking soda for a long time.
3. You become goal oriented. You wouldnt want to engage in any fruitless activity any more.
