Stand out

Knowing when to assert your individuality and when to set it aside is an important social skill. We usually want to blend in with the colors, so to speak, when we’re not quite sure how to behave or don’t feel like making our presence known because we're not feeling the crowd, the moment, the person or bored. Unfortunately, it becomes very easy to go along with the group once you’re in ''okay'' mode. There is no need blending in. Originality is dope. Be the original you at all times, the world will adjust. Always remember you are unique and strive always to be better than the person you were yesterday. Not because you need to please anyone, but because you need to be a better version of yourself.

Ways that could influence you to be you

  1. Always know your own ideas and preferences in mind. Because if you don't, you tend to adopt others idea just to fit in. You want to be sure you can stick to your own story.Be true to what your beliefs. You don’t necessarily need to write down your thoughts, just keep them at the cutting-edge of your mind when you enter into discussions with people who you know will express beliefs or ideas contrary to your own.

  2. It is very true that standing alone could be so discouraging and hurtful but think about how much it hurts to give up your values when you’re being boxed into a corner to go along with others who you think are leading you in the wrong direction.

  3. Find others who agree with you to , this will help you in  your personal growth. For example, You can't always be with those who do not see any reason to personally develop themselves. You will never grow if they are the only group you can hang out with. That inclination to conform will often lead like-minded people to stick together.

  4. Use your individuality well thought-out. Don't hurt other people while standing out. Find a way to go around it but do not conform to what you do not believe in especially when you know you are right.

  5. Determine when standing out from the crowd will be beneficial. If you know everyone in your group wears black to every single social event, and you’d like to be noticed, wear the color that you truly feel looks best on you.
Feel free to add yours. It is not a bad thing to stand out.
