  1. Set goals. According to the book, balance first comes through realistic goal setting. If you have a clear vision for your life and outline that vision with goals, it is easier to set priorities and make good decisions about our time and commitments.
  2. Let go. Balance also comes when you let go of the need to control. When you try to control everything you will loose control of it all. In what situation do you need to let go?
  3. Get help. Get as much help as you can.
  4. Delegate more. According to the author she calls this particular strategy the subtraction list. What are those things you do that do not add real value? Okay, mine is my phone. I spend a lot of time on my phone and trust me, i get exhausted doing just nothing reasonable . What are you doing that someone else could be or should be doing?
  5. Get closure. Finally, close the coil, take care of unfinished business. Say what needs saying. Forgive what needs forgiving.Do what needs doing.
We cannot move on to the next step in our life until we master the one we are on. This is true in every area of our lives.
